From 2002 to 2018 I focused on developing numerous hospitality and entertainment based projects. These included live performance venues, themed public houses, quick service food outlets and hotel management.
Centennial Beach Cafe
In 2012 I submitted a proposal for an RFP, released by Metro Vancouver, for a multi year operations contract for a newly constructed day use facility on the shores of Boundary Bay. Being awarded the highly competive contract I open the Centennial Beach Cafe. The concept became the highest grossing food service contract issued at any of the Metro Vancouver locations. Johnnie Fox's Irish Snug
The original Johnnie Fox's Irish Snug was located in Vancouver's Granville Entertainment District. I developed the concept, design and build out project with one key concept in mind; Authenticity. Johnnie Fox's Irish Snug became a hugely popular Irish themed public house noted for its genuine approach to providing an outstanding customer experience. More Info...
The Bourbon
In 2006 the opportunity arose to acquire a legendary venue in vancouver's Gastown area. This project required significant change management skills, concept development programming, and human resource knowledge to transform its reputation from years of neglect. Ultimately by the 2010's The Bourbon had become a popular destination for its clientele providing a unique and genuine themed experience. More Info...
The Royal
In 2002 I was invited to work with a group to transform a dated concept in to a thriving venue in the heart of Vancouver's Granville Entertainment District. Through careful market analysis, change management techniques and acute marketing strategies a successful concept and operation was developed. More Info...
Uptown Eatery + Bar
After a year of negotiations I purchased a long standing restaurant in the Tsawwassen area of Delta, BC. I led a transformational project to rebrand and reinvigorate and aging operation. I developed a local style Eatery and Bar that was lacking in the regional marketplace. It's focused was on quality offerings and providing a unique food and beverage, and entertainment experience to the community. More Info...
The Hildon Hotel
Not to be confused with a far more fashionable Hotel chain with a similar name. The Hildon Hotel is a City of Vancouver Heritage building with a 135 Rooming House or commonly referred to as a Single Room Occupancy. Such an endeavour required patience, grit and pragmatic managerial skills. Being part of the building which housed The Bourbon, the entire building became part of the entire project, adding many dynamic and demanding layers to my skillset. More Info...
